  5. **************** Removing this application *******************
  6.  
  7. While trying to remove this program, you may be asked if you
  8. would like to delete some files that are shared with other
  9. applications. These files are usually installed in the Windows 
  10. System directory. We highly recommend that you select NO when
  11. this dialog box is prompted to ensure that other applications 
  12. are not affected. If there are files that are not deleted from 
  13. the ColorStore directory, you may remove them through the Windows
  14. Explorer.

  16. *********** Printing Instructions for Frame Projects ***********
  17.  
  18. Please note that, when selected, one instruction sheet will
  19. print with each frame. If you are planning to print more than
  20. one copy, and do not want more than one copy of the instruction
  21. sheet to print, you should print one frame with the instructions 
  22. box checked and then resend the rest of your frames without the 
  23. instructions box selected.

  25. ******************* LZW Compressed TIF files ****************
  26.  
  27. This program does not support importing of LZW Compressed .TIF 
  28. files. These files need to be decompressed before importing them 
  29. into the program.

  31. ********************* Printing ******************************

  33. If you experience any problems with text, graphics, or colors 
  34. printing incorrectly, you should try to adjust your printer 
  35. settings before calling technical support.  Doing so often
  36. corrects the problem.  Always set your printer to the highest
  37. quality settings for graphics.

  40. RECOMMENDED PRINTER SETTINGS FOR POPULAR PRINTER MODELS
  41.  
  42. Canon BJC 4000 and 600E: 
  43. On the Canon BJC 4000 and 600E printer, the best quality is 
  44. achieved by choosing Screen-Matched Color and Diffusion 
  45. Halftone in the Printer Setup options. For cards and letters
  46. with smaller margins, try choosing "Clip to Fit" and pressing
  47. the OK button in the Print Adjust Dialog available on the 
  48. File menu.

  50. Canon BJC 210, 240, 4100, 4200, 4550, C2500:
  51. Under File go to print setup and choose Options.  Go to GRAPHICs
  52. and choose STANDARD, FULL COLOR, and CUSTOM.  Click on Options, 
  53. then choose FULL COLOR, and CUSTOM.  Click on Options, 
  54. then choose FULL COLOR, DIFFUSION, and MATCH. Then click OK all
  55. the way out of the Print Setup.

  57. Canon BJC 610 and 620:
  58. Under File go to Print Setup and choose Options.  Press OK.
  59. This will activate the BJC Properties Screen. Select QUALITY:
  60. HIGH QUALITY GRAPHICS. Select Graphics & Color.  Under Color 
  61. Mode, single click on Manual Set Color. Under Halftoning 
  62. choose SMOOTH.  Make sure that under Print Quality "Disable 
  63. Color Match" is NOT selected.  Then click OK all the way out 
  64. of the Print Setup.

  66. FOR ALL OTHER PRINTERS, PLEASE REFER TO YOUR PRINTER MANUAL FOR
  67. RECOMMENDED SETTINGS FOR GRAPHICS.

  69. ********************  CARD AND ENVELOPES  ******************
  70. This program uses shaded gray areas on card envelopes to indicate 
  71. cut-out areas. Because of border limitations, the shaded gray 
  72. areas do not fully extend to the edge of a page. To obtain the 
  73. correct cut-out dimensions of an envelope, make sure that you 
  74. begin to cut out the shaded gray areas from the edge of the page.

  76. Depending on the type of printer and the print options chosen, 
  77. these guides can become very light or disappear entirely.  Refer 
  78. to the manual for instructions on cutting and folding envelopes.
  79.  
  80. Once the envelope is made, the flap will overlap the back so 
  81. that the envelope can be glued shut.  The flap may cover stamps 
  82. or text placed at the top of the envelope back (The top of the 
  83. envelope back is immediately below the dashed line drawn 
  84. across the back of the envelope as seen on the screen).

  86. ******************** RESIZING HANDLES  ********************
  87. Resizing handles for both stamps and text boxes are black.  
  88. When an object is a very dark color, the handles can disappear 
  89. against the dark background. These objects can be resized by 
  90. slowly moving the cursor and watching for it to change from an 
  91. arrow to a resize indicator, then click and drag to resize the 
  92. object.

  94. Similarly, the dashed line borders of text boxes can disppear 
  95. against dark background art.

  97. ************************* ARTWORK ************************
  98. All of this program's artwork is designed to give the 
  99. highest possible quality when printed. In the small preview 
  100. screens, some details may be lost because of the small size.  
  101. This situation can be further aggravated by low resolution 
  102. monitors.  However, your cards, frames, and envelopes will 
  103. look great when printed.
